1658 - 1684 The Most Excellent Prince Paata Abashidze, Prince of Saabashidzo and Sapalavando, Lord of Sverska. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1658. m. 1683, H.M. The Most High Queen Darejan (m. third, March 1685, His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Papuna Orbeliani, Duke of Radsha), former wife of H.M. The Most High King Giorgi IV Gurieli, King of Imereti, and daughter of H.M. The Most High King Bagrat IV, King of Imereti. He d. 1684, having had issue, four sons:

The Most High King Giorgi V Abashidze, by the will of our Lord, King of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shah of Shirvan and Shah-in-Shah and Autocrater of all the East and West, King of Imereti. b. as Malakhia Abashidze, third and youngest son of Prince Paata Abashidze. Archbishop of Kutais 1700-1702. Proclaimed as King of Imereti after deposing H.M. Mamia III Gurieli, King of Imereti in 1702. Deposed after a revolt by the nobles, in favour of the rightful King Giorgi VI, 1707. m. (first) (div.) the widow of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Katzia II Orbeliani, Duke of Radsha, and daughter of The Most Excellent Prince Giorgi Mikeladze, Prince of Sadchilao and Samikelao. m. (second) at Kutais, March 1685 (div. ca. 1698) H.M. The Most High Queen Thamar (d. ca. 1699), former wife of H.M. The Most High King Giorgi III Gurieli, King of Imereti, and widow of General The Most Excellent Prince Katzo Chikovani, Prince of Lechkhumi, Sainadaridzo, Salipartiano, etc., sometime Chief Minister of Mingrelia, née Kakhaberidze-Chijavadze. m. (third) 1698, the former of wife of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Papuna Chkheidze, Duke of Radsha, and daughter of The Noble Bejan Lortkipanidze. m. (fourth) 1714, H.M. The Most High Queen Thamar (d. 1714), former wife of Prince Papuna Mkhéidze, and of H.M. The Most High King Mamia III Gurieli, King of Imereti, and daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Papuna Chkheidze, Duke of Radsha. He d. at Tiflis, 15th October 1722 (bur. Catzkh), having had issue, two sons and five daughters:
