Succeeded on the death of his father, 1658. Maharana Raj Singhji of Udaipur invaded his territories soon after his accession, forcing him to come to terms and make peace. He d. at Dungarpur, 1659, having had issue, two sons:

- 1659 - 1691 Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Jaswant Singhji I Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, elder son of Maharawal Shri Shri Girdhar Das Sahib, Maharawal of Dungarpur, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1659. Prince Akbar took refuge at Dungarpur in 1681, after he rebelled against his father Aurangzeb. He also followed his father’s example and maintained cordial relations with Udaipur. He d. at Dungarpur, 1691, having had issue, two sons:

- 1691 - 1700 Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Khuman Singhji I [Kahuman] Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, elder son of Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Jaswant I Singh Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1691. The Udaipur forces attacked Dungarpur again, prompting the Maharawal to appeal to the Imperial court for redress. The Emperor agreed to intervene and ordered the Udaipur Maharana to withdraw his forces and desist from further attempts at imposing his authority. He d. at Dungarpur, 1700, having had issue:

- 1700 - 1728 Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Ram Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, son of Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Khuman Singhji I Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1700. Appointed to an Imperial mansab of 1,000 zat and 1,000 sawar. Attacked by Udaipur after the Maharana procured a fresh firman from the sayyid brothers. He then concluded an alliance with the Peshwa Baji Rao and became a Maratha tributary of the Raja of Dhar. Despite his agreement, Raghoji Kadambande invaded and plundered the state, carrying off booty to the value of Rs 113,000. A complaint to the Peshwa only resulted in an order for the amount to be delivered to Poona in full. He d. at Dungarpur, 1728, having had issue, four sons and a daughter:

- 1) A daughter. m. ca 1720, Maharajadhiraja Maharaja Sri Sujan Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Bikaner (b. 28th July 1690; d. at his camp at Raisingpur, 16th December 1735), second son of Maharajadhiraja Maharaja Sri Anup Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Bikaner, by his second wife, the Rajawat Maharani Sahiba. She d. by sati, at Bikaner, December 1735, having had issue - see India (Bikaner).

- 1728 - 1783 Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Shiv Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, fourth son of Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Ram Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur by his favourite rani, educ. privately. Appointed as Heir Apparent in preference to three elder brothers. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1728. He concluded a fresh agreement with the Marathas at Poona in 1747, by which he acknowledged their suzerainty and committed himself to remitting a fixed tribute Rs 35,000 payable to Dhar, Gwalior and Indore. The Poona durbar also appointed an agent to reside at Dungarpur to ensure the collection, his costs to be borne by the Maharawal at Rs 2,000-5,000 p.a. Despite the heavy burden, this agreement secured a peaceful reign and a place for himself in history, as the greatest ruler of the state. A learned Sanskrit scholar and a generous ruler, he repaired the protective walls around the city, reformed the weights and measures, constructed a fine fort overlooking the capital, and encouraged commerce. He d. at Dungarpur, 1783, having had issue:

- 1783 - 1789 Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Vairisal [Barisal] Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, son of Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Shiv Singh Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1783. m. Medtanji Maharani Shri Shubh Kumari Sahiba (k. by Umaji Surma, sometime Kotwal), Regent for her young son from 1789, a sister of Thakur Sardar Sinha of Medtana. He d. at Dungarpur, 1789, having had issue:

- 1789 - 1808 Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Fateh Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, son of Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Vairisal Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, by his wife, Medtanji Rani Shubh Kumari Sahiba, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1789. His mother judged him a dangerous weakling and placed him in confinement, soon after his accession, placing all power in the hands of the minister Pema. The state nobles opposed the pair, killed the Maharani and freed Fateh Singh. However, the new arrangements that he made for the administration proved chaotic, with his ministers constantly intriguing against each other and the country full of disorder. He also faced repeated almost continuous raids by the Mahrattas and his nobles engaged in revolt. He d. at Dungarpur, 1808, having had issue:

- 1808 - 1846 H.H. Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Jaswant Singhji II Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, son of Rai-i-Rayan, Mahimahendra, Maharawal Shri Fateh Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharawal of Dungarpur, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1808. Invaded by a large force of unruly Sindhis who, after failing to receive payment from their masters in Udaipur, attacked and seized Dungarpur forcing the Maharawal to flee to Bhil Pal of Sarana. He remained there while they enjoyed undisputed control until help finally came from Holkar, who defeated and dispersed them at Galiakot. He concluded a treaty of friendship and protection with the HEIC 11th December 1818. Removed from the active administration of the state in favour of his adopted son, 2nd May 1825. Pensioned and exiled to Muttra. m. …(d. after 1845). He d.s.p. at Muttra, 19th December 1846, having adopted a son, in the person of:
