1812 - 1867 H.H. Raja Shrimant Khem Sawant IV Bhonsle Bahadur [Bapu Sahib], Sir Desai of Sawantwadi. b. at Wadi Fort, 1804, younger son of H.H. Raja Shrimant Phond Sawant III Bhonsle Bahadur, Sir Desai of Sawantwadi, by his second wife, the Nesreekar Rani Sahib, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 3^rd October 1812. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, at Wadi Fort, 11^th February 1823. He faced severe insurrections by members of his family and his nobles several times during his reign, most seriously in 1844-1849, and needed the assistence of British troops to bring them into line. Received a sanad of adoption, 11^th March 1862. m. (first) at Wadi Fort, 1815, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Lakshmibai Raje Bhonsle (d. at Wadi Fort, 25^th April 1832), daughter of Sardar Mahab Rao Patankar, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Babnibai Patankar, daughter of Shrimant Som Sawant Bhonsle. m. (second) H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Savitribai Raje Bhonsle, from an obscure family in Mazgaum. m. (third) H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Jankibai Raje Bhonsle (d. at Wadi Fort, June 1876). He d. at Wadi Fort, 1867, having had issue, four sons and two daughters:

2) Rajkumar Shrimant Ramchandra Sawant Raje Bhonsle [Bhau Sahib]. b. at Wadi Fort, 9^th August 1838 (s/o Savitribai), educ. privately. m. (first) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Lakshmibai Raje Bhonsle (d. before 28^th June 1871), daughter of Shrimant Hanmathrao Nimbalkar. m. (second) ca. 13^th March 1871, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Sitabai Raje Bhonsle, sister of Shrimant Gunajirao, of Kolhapur. m. (third) June 1874, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Parvatibai Raje Bhonsle, daughter of Shrimant Chimajirao Khanvilkar, of Nimbrichiwari. He d.s.p.m. at Wadi, 21^st January 1879, having had issue, an only daughter:

Ali Jah, Umdat ul-Umara, Hisam us-Sultanat, Mukhtar ul-Mulk, Azim ul-Iqtidar, Rafi-us-Shan Wala Shukoh, Muhtasham-i-Dauran, Maharajadhiraja Maharaja Sir Jayaji Rao Scindia Bahadur, Shrinath, Mansur-i-Zaman, Fidvi-i-Hazrat-i-Malikha-i-Muazzam, Rafi-ud-Darja-i-Inglistan, Maharaja Scindia of Gwalior, GCB, GCSI, CIE (b. 19^th January 1835; d. at Jai Vilas Palace, Lashkar, Gwalior, 20^th June 1886), son of Shrimant Sardar Hanwantrao Scindia, by his wife, a sister of Shrimant Sardar Deorao Jadhav [Mama Sahib]. She d. at Jai Vilas Palace, Lashkar, Gwalior, 4^th September 1894, having had issue, two daughters - see India (Gwalior).
3) Rajkumar Shrimant Som Sawant Raje Bhonsle [Aba Sahib]. b. at Wadi Fort, 4^th May 1842 (s/o Jankibai), educ. privately. m. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Jaywantibai Raje Bhonsle. He d. 26^th October 1872, having had issue, one son and three daughters:

- b) Shrimati Abaibai Raje Bhonsle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Abaibai Raje Ghatge] [Akka Sahib]. b. at Wadi, 1867, educ. privately. m. at Wadi, 28^th March 1883, Shrimant Shivaji Raje Ghatge, Zungarrao, third and youngest son of Meherban Shrimant Bhawanji Raje Ghatge, Zungarrao, of Boodh, in Satara, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Sahibjibai Raje Ghatge, eldest daughter of H.H. Raja Shrimant Khem Sawant IV Bhonsle Bahadur [Bapu Sahib], Sir Desai of Sawantwadi.

4) Rajkumar Shrimant Naroba Desai Sawant Raje Bhonsle [Buwa Sahib]. b. at Wadi Fort, 19^th March 1848 (s/o Jankibai), educ. privately. m. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati …Bai Raje Bhonsle, daughter of Shrimant Hanmathrao Nimbalkar. He d.s.p. 1877.
1) Rajkumari Shrimati Sahibjibai Raje Bhonsle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Sahibjibai Raje Ghatge]. b. at Wadi Fort, 16^th May 1824 (d/o Lakshmibai). m. at Wadi Fort, 7^th April 1835, Meherban Shrimant Bhawanji Raje Babajirao Ghatge, Zunzarrao, second son of Meherban Shrimant Babajirao Nagojirao Ghatge, Zunzarrao, of Boodh, in Satara. She had issue, three sons.
2) Rajkumari Shrimati Bayamabai Raje Bhonsle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Bayannabai Raje Desai]. b. at Wadi, 18^th April 1831 (d/o Lakshmibai). m. at Sawantwadi, 27^th April 1844, Shrimant Nagojirao Pownojirao, eldest son of Shrimant Sardar Pownojirao, Sir Desai of Jamboti - see India Non-Salute (Jamboti).

1867 - 1869 H.H. Raja Shrimant Phond Sawant IV Bhonsle Bahadur [Anna Sahib], Sir Desai of Sawantwadi. b. at Wadi Fort, 1828, eldest son of H.H. Raja Shrimant Khem Sawant IV Bhonsle Bahadur [Bapu Sahib], Sir Desai of Sawantwadi, by his first wife, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Lakshmibai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, educ. privately. He joined his cousins and rebelled against his father in 1844-1846, following a dissagreement with his step-mother, then fled to Goa in Portuguese India before being persuaded to return to Wadi in 1849. Pardoned and reinstated as Heir Apparent in 1850. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1867. m. H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Tarabai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, daughter of Shrimant Subhanrao Shinde, Sena Khas Khel Sena Dhurandhar Vishwasvidhi, Samust Shiv Dhurandhar, Chief of Torgal. He d. 7^th March 1869, having had issue, one son:

1869 - 1899 H.H. Raja Shrimant Raghunath Sawant IV Bhonsle Bahadur, Sir Desai of Sawantwadi. b. at Wadi Fort, 20^th September 1862, only son of H.H. Raja Shrimant Phond Sawant IV Bhonsle Bahadur, Sir Desai of Sawantwadi, by his wife, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Tarabai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, educ. Rajaram Coll, Kolhapur, and Rajkumar Coll, Rajkot. Succeeded on the death of his father, 7^th March 1869. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers. Rcvd: Prince of Wales's (1875), and KIH (1877) gold medals. m. (first) at Baroda, 21^st December 1879, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Sitabai Raje Bhonsle (b. posthumously, at the Residency, Baroda, 5^th July 1871; d. at Sawantwadi, 14^th June 1897), née Shrimant Maharajkumari Tarabai Raje Gaekwad, youngest daughter of H.H. Shrimant Maharaja Sir Khanderao II Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, GCSI, by his wife third wife, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Jamnabai Raje Gaekwad, CI, Maharani Regent of Baroda, daughter of Shrimant Sardar Madhavrao Babujirao Puar, Vishwasrao Bahadur, of Supa, in Dewas. m. (second) at Sawantwadi, 3^rd May 1898, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Lakshmibai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, daughter of Shrimant Dattajirao Nimbalkar. He d.s.p. at Sawantwadi, December 1899 (succ. by his cousin).

1899 - 1913 H.H. Raja Shrimant Shriram Sawant Bhonsle Bahadur, Sir Desai of Sawantwadi. b. at Wadi Fort, 19^th October 1871, eldest son of Rajkumar Shrimant Som Sawant Raje Bhonsle [Aba Sahib], by his wife Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Jaywantibai Raje Bhonsle, educ. Sardars High Sch., Belgaum, Rajaram Coll, Kolhapur, and Rajkumar Coll, Rajkot. Succeeded on the death of his cousin, December 1899. Reigned under a brief Council of Administration, until he reached his majority and was invested with full ruling powers, 17^th June 1900. Rcvd: Delhi Durbar gold medals (1903 & 1911). m. (first) 1883 H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Jankibai Raje Bhonsle (d. 1902), daughter of Shrimant Ganpatrao Sadojirao Jadhorao, Desai of Raibog. m. (second) at the Rajwada, Akalkot, 18^th May 1903, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Gajarabai Raje Bhonsle (b. at the Rajwada, Akalkot, 30^th October 1887; d.s.p.), Regent for her stepson from 23^rd April 1913 to 29^th October 1924, née Rajkumari Shrimant Yamunabai Raje Bhonsle [Akka Sahib], eldest daughter of Meherban Shrimant Raja Shahaji III Maloji Raje Bhonsle [Baba Sahib], Raja of Akalkot, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Lakshmibai Raje Bhonsle, Rani Regent of Akalkot, daughter of Shrimant Sardar Narayanrao Dhaibar Killedar, of Baroda. Supt. Dhar Court of Wards and Controller of the Household Dept. 1912-1913, and Regent of Dhar for her adopted son from 30^th July 1926 to 30^th October 1931. m. at Sawantwadi, 25^th November 1907, Colonel H.H. Meherban Shrimant Maharaja Sir Uddajirao II Anandrao Puar Bahadur, Maharaja of Dhar, KCSI, KCVO, KBE (b. at Multan, 30^th September 1886; d. at Salon, Bhaghat State, 30^th July 1926), adopted son of H.H. Meherban Shrimant Maharaja Sir Anandrao III Yeshwantrao Puar Bahadur, Maharaja of Dhar, KCSI, CIE, and second son of Meherban Shrimant Maharaj Sambhajirao Yeshwantrao Puar [Aba Sahib], of Multan, by his third wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharaj Kundubai Puar. 2) Rajkumari Shrimati Sitabai Raje Bhonsle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Sitabai Raje Puar] (d/o Jankibai), educ. privately. m. at Sawantwadi, 27^th December 1907, Rao Bahadur Shrimant Maharaj Seturamrao Sambhajirao Puar [Baba Sahib] (b. at Multan, 11^th October 1887; d. at Dhar, 19^th April 1943), third son of Meherban Shrimant Maharaj Sambhajirao Yeshwantrao Puar [Aba Sahib], of Multan, by his first wife. She had issue, two sons - see India (Dhar).
3) Rajkumari Shrimati Pritabai Raje Bhonsle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Pritabai Raje Gaekwad] (d/o Jankibai), educ. privately. m. at Sawantwadi, 17^th March 1914, Meherban Shrimant Chandrasinhrao Anandrao Gaekwad (b. at Baroda, 1894), second son of General Meherban Shrimant Sardar Anandrao Kashirao Gaekwad, Himmat Bahadur, CIE, sometime C-in-C Baroda State Forces. She d. 1958, having had issue, one son - see India (Baroda).
4) Rajkumari Shrimati Babaibai Raje Bhonsle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Babaibai Raje Ghatge] (d/o Jankibai), educ. privately. m. at Sawantwadi, 13^th February 1917, Meherban Shrimant Chiranjiva Rajashri Yeshwantrao Dattajirao Ghatge [Appa Sahib], Sarjerao, Chief of Kagal (Junior) (b. 3^rd September 1899), eldest son of Meherban Shrimant Chiranjiva Rajashri Dattajirao Narayanrao Ghatge [Bala Sahib], Sarjerao, Desmukh, Chief of Kagal (Junior), by his second wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Ahalyabai Sahib Ghatge, sister of Shrimant Vasant Rao Dhayabar Killedar [Bhau Sahib], of Baroda.
