GENEALOGY

1765 - 1773 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mahmud Shah II ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah [al-Marhum Muda], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, second son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, educ. privately. Appointed as Raja Kechil Muda 1750, and became Heir Apparent with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam 1764. Succeeded on the death of his brother, 14^th July 1765. Installed at Pulau Indira Sakti 20^th July 1765. Removed his capital to Pasir Pulai, which he renamed Pulau Besar Indra Mulia. m. ca. 1750, the Raja Kechil Ampuan, daughter of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala' ud-din Mughayat Ri'ayat Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak. He d. at Pulau Besar Indra Mulia, 17^th June 1773 (bur. there), having had issue, one son and one daughter, including:

1) Y.T.M. Raja Ibrahim ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Shah [al-Marhum Sayong, Raja Bendahara (s/o the Raja Kechil Ampuan). Granted the title of Raja Kechil Muda, and prom. Raja Bendahara Wakil us-Sultan Wazir al-Kabir. He d. at Sayong, before 1786 (bur. Kampung Pasir Panjang), having had issue, a son:
- a) Y.T.M. Raja Mahmud bin Raja Ibrahim, Raja Bendahara. Granted the title of Raja Kechil Bongsu Muda 1764, and prom. to Raja Bendahara Wakil us-Sultan Wazir al-Kabir 1786. Although the designated heir, he refused to come to Sulong to be recognised as ruler, leaving the body of his grand uncle unburied for three months, thus forfeiting the succession in 1792. m. (first) … m. (second) Bentuak Malak Bergis, of the family of the Dato' Bendahara, of Bukit Teuntong. m. (third) the daughter of a Minangkabau Raja in Sumatra. He d. at Sayong, 31^st March 1815 (bur. Kampung Pasir Panjang), having had issue, four sons and four daughters:

    - (1) Y.A.M. Raja Daud bin Raja 'Ali, Raja Kechil Besar. m. (first) the Raja Kechil Puan Bongsu, daughter of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah Iskandar Muda Khalifat ur-Rahman Sulong ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak. m. (second) Che' Long Halima binti Inche Muhammad, daughter of Inche' Muhammad bin Kasim, of Sayong and Boya. He had issue, two sons and two daughters:
      - (a) Y.M. Raja Said bin Raja Daud (s/o Puan Bongsu).
      - (b) Y.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Latif bin Raja Daud [Raja Radin] (s/o Halima).
      - (a) Y.M. Raja Andak binti Raja Daud (d/o Puan Bongsu).
      - (b) Y.M. Raja Fatima binti Raja Daud (s/o Halima). m. as his first wife, H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ismail Mu'ab ud-din Ri'ayat Shah ibni al-Marhum Sayyid Sheikh al-Khairat, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak (d. 20^th January 1874), son of the Sayyid Shaikh al-Khairat. She had issue, one daughter - see below.
    - (1) Y.M. Raja Puteh Khadija binti Raja 'Ali. m. Y.M. Raja Ismail Puteh bin Tengku Besar Muda 'Abdu'l Rahman ['Ungku Muda], eldest son of Y.A.M. Tengku 'Abdu'l-Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Isma'il 'Abdu'l-Jalil Jalal ud-din Shah, Tengku Besar Muda, of Siak, by his second wife, Long Bedara, daughter of the Dato' Padang Raja, of Jambi.   - ii) H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Ngah Laut bin Raja Mahmud, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. Granted the title of Raja Bendahara 1825, and prom. to deputy ruler with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Yang di-Pertuan Muda October 1826. m. after 1806, Y.A.M. Raja Amina Shah Alam Muda binti al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l-Malik Mansur Shah Jamalu'llah, Raja Che' Puan Besar, third daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Abdu'l-Malik Mansur Shah Jamalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad ud-din Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak. He d. at Kuala Kangsar, 30^th May 1830, having had issue, one daughter:
    - (1) Y.A.M. Raja Shah 'Alam binti Raja Ngah Laut, Raja Che' Kechil Puan Besar. m. H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ja'afar Safi ud-din Mu'azzam Shah Waliu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Shah Johan Berdaulat Khalifatu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak (d. 20^th March 1865), elder son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ahmad Shah Johan Berdaulat Khalifatu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l-Malik Mu'azzam Shah Jamalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda, by his wife, Che' Long binti Daeng Masiah, Raja Che' Puan Busu, daughter of Daeng Masiah [Masak], a Bugis Prince from Lingga. She d. at Pangkalan Tengah, before 1857, having had issue, one daughter - see below.
  - iii) Y.A.M. Raja Radin bin Raja Mahmud, Raja Bendahara (cre. 1826) (s/o Bentuak Malak Bergis). m. (first) Ninda 'Ungku, a commoner. m. (second) Che' Puteh, a lady from Bandar. He d. at Kechil Pulau, having had issue, two sons and one daughter:
    - (1) Y.M. Raja Ngah Putra bin Raja Radin (s/o Ninda 'Ungku). He had issue, one son and one daughter:
      - (a) Y.M. Raja Husain bin Raja Ngah Putra.
      - (b) Y.M. Raja Tipah binti Raja Ngah Putra.
    - (2) Y.M. Raja 'Ala ud-din bin Raja Radin (s/o Che' Puteh).
    - (1) Y.M. Raja Uteh binti Raja Radin (d/o Ninda 'Ungku).

  - i) Y.M. Raja Puteh Perak binti Raja Mahmud. m. Y.A.M. Tengku 'Abdu'l-Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Isma'il 'Abdu'l-Jalil Jalal ud-din Shah, Tengku Besar Muda, second son of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Isma'il 'Abdu'l-Jalil Jalal ud-din Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud 'Abdu'l-Jalil Jalal ud-din Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Siak Sri Indrapura. She had issue, one daughter - see Indonesia (Siak).
  - ii) Y.M. Raja Andak Amas binti Raja Mahmud. m. Y.M. Raja Ismail bin Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman, son of Y.A.M. Raja'Abdu'l-Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah Iskandar Muda Khalifat ur-Rahiman Sulong, Raja Kechil Sulong Tua. She had issue, - see below.
  - iii) Y.M. Raja Mandak binti Raja Mahmud, Dato' Engku (d/o the third wife). m. (div.) H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Shahab ud-din Ri'ayat Shah Saifu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Inu Muhammad Saleh, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak (d. 1851), son of Raja Inu ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad ud-din Shah 'Alias Marhum Saleh - see below.
  - iv) Y.M. Raja Uray binti Raja Mahmud (d/o Bentuak Malak Bergis).

1773 - 1792 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah Iskandar Muda Khalifat ur-Rahman Sulong ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah [al-Marhum Sulong], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, third son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, educ. privately. Granted the title of Raja Kechil Tengah September 1752, prom. to Raja Kechil Muda, Raja Bendahara 1756, and appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam April 1766. Succeeded on the death of his brother, 17^th June 1773. m. (first) a daughter of the Lakshmana. m. (second) his first cousin, a daughter of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Jalalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, by a commoner. m. (third) a daughter of the Imam. m. (fourth) a lady from Sungkei. m. (fifth) a lady from Sungai Siput. m. (sixth) Toh Upik. He d. September 1792 (bur. Kampung Teluk Memali, Pulau Besar), having had issue, two sons and two daughters:

1) Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah, Raja Kechil Sulong Tua (s/o Toh Upik). Granted the title of Raja Kechil Sulong Tua 1773. m. Y.A.M. Raja Juma'at binti Raja Chulan (k. by her husband 1785), daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Chulan bin Raja Inu, Raja Kechil Muda. He was k. by his father when about to run amok, 1785, having had issue, five sons:
- a) Y.M. Raja … bin Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman.
- b) Y.M. Raja Iskandar bin 'Abdu'l-Rahman. m. a commoner. He had issue, a daughter:

- d) Y.M. Raja Zainal bin Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman.
- e) Y.M. Raja Ismail bin Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman. m. Y.M. Raja Andak Amas binti Raja Mahmud, daughter of Y.T.M. Raja Mahmud bin Raja Ibrahim, Raja Bendahara. He had issue, one son and one daughter:
  - i) Y.M. Raja Idris bin Raja Ismail, Raja Kechil Sulong. m. Y.M. Raja Long Siak, daughter of Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Isma'il 'Abdu'l-Jalil Jalal ud-din Shah, Tengku Besar Muda, by his wife, Y.M. Raja Puteh binti Raja Mahmud, daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Mahmud bin Raja Ibrahim, Raja Bendahara. He had issue, two sons and two daughters:
    - (1) Y.M. Raja Alang 'Ali bin Raja Idris.
    - (2) Y.M. Raja Kulup Kechil 'Abdu'l-Rahman bin Raja Idris.
    - (1) Y.M. Raja Puteh Zalikha binti Raja Idris. m. as his second wife (div.), H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ali al-Mukammil Inayat Shah Nabiu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Shahab ud-din Ri'ayat Shah Saifu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak (d. at the house of Che' Rajab at Kuala Manora, 25^th May 1871), eldest son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Shahab ud-din Ri'ayat Shah Saifu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Inu Muhammad Saleh, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak. She had issue, two sons - see below.
    - (2) Y.M. Raja Ngah Zahara binti Raja Idris.

2) Y.A.M. Raja Radin ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah.
1) Y.A.M. Raja Kechil Puan Bongsu. m. as his second wife, Y.A.M. Raja Daud bin Raja 'Ali, Raja Kechil Besar, son of Y.M. Raja 'Ali bin Raja Mahmud, by his wife, Che' Norma. She had issue, one son and one daughter.
2) Y.A.M. Raja Mandak binti al-Marhum Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah. m. (first) Y.A.M. Raja Chulan bin Raja Inu, Raja Kechil Muda, by whom she had issue, two children - see below. m. (second) Y.M. Raja Sayyid Hitam, son of a Raja from Siak, by whom she had further issue one son and one daughter:
- a) Y.M. Raja Ismail Hitam (s/o Raja Sayyid Hitam by Mandak). m. Y.M. Raja Fatima. He had issue, one son and one daughter:
  - i) Y.M. Raja Lope Ahmad bin Raja Ismail Hitam (s/o Fatima).
  - i) Y.M. Raja Long Khadija binti Raja Ismail Hitam (d/o Fatima).
- a) A daughter (d/o Raja Sayyid Hitam by Mandak).
