1873 - 1894 His Sharifian Majesty Sultan 'Abu 'Ali Mulay Hassan I bin Muhammad, Sultan of Morocco, Fez, Tafilalt, Marrakesh and Sus, Amir al-Mu'minin. b. 1836, eldest son of H.M. Sultan Sidi Muhammad IV bin 'Abdu'l-Rahman, Sultan of Morocco, educ. privately. Proclaimed on the death of his father, 16th September 1873. Rcvd: GC of the Military Order of the Tower & Sword for Valour, Leadership & Merit of Portugal (1882). m. (first) Lalla Aliya al-Sattatiya. m. (second) before 1873, H.H. Lalla Zainab bint Abbas, daughter of H.H. Mulay Abbas bin 'Abdu'l-Rahman, sometime C-in-C. m. (third) Lalla Khadija, daughter of al-Arbi. m. (fourth) Lalla Zohra, daughter of Haji Ma'athi, m. (fifth) Lalla Ruqiya (d. at Rabat, 17th May 1918), a Circassian lady from Constantinople. m. (sixth) Lalla Kinza (m. second, Sidi Muhammad bin at-Talba. m. third, Sidi 'Abdu'llah bin Haji Muhammad ud-Daouia), daughter of Bel-Abbas ud-Daouia. m. (seventh) Um al-Khair (d. 28th October 1885). m. (eighth) before 1882, Umm Sidi Zayda (d. 22nd December 1927). He d. at El Boroudj Dar ul-Zidih, in the Oued el-Abid valley, near Marrakesh, 7th June 1894 (bur. Tomb of Sidi Muhammad bin 'Abdu'llah, Rabat), having had issue, including twenty sons and several daughters:
