The Most High King Aleksandri I, by the will of our Lord, King of Kings of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah and Master of all the East and West, King of Kakheti. b. ca. 1445, eldest son of H.M. The Most High King Giorgi VIII and II, King of Kakheti, by his wife, H.M. The Most High Queen Tamara Daria [Nestan-Darejan], daughter of Prince Bagrati, educ. privately. Appointed as joint sovereign by his father, 1460. Succeeded as King in Kakheti after his father's death, 1476. Accepted Turkish suzereinty early in his reign. Recognised as indepoendent King of Kakheti in1490. m. before 23rd January 1479, H.M. The Most High Queen Ana Tinatina, elder daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Beena Irubakidze Cholokashvili, Prince of Satcholakao, the majodomo. He was k. by his son, Giorgi, 27th April 1511, having had issue, three sons and one daughter:

2) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Demetre. Blinded on the orders of his brother, King Giorgi II. Ancestor of the Ramazishvili and Davitishvili families (and Princes Davidov-Bagration). Blinded in 1511. He had issue - see Georgia (Davitishvili).

The Most High King Giorgi II Av-Giorgi (=Bad George), by the will of our Lord, King of Kings of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah and Master of all the East and West, King of Kakheti, eldest son of H.M. The Most High King Aleksandri I, King of Kakheti, by his wife, H.M. The Most High Queen Ana Tinatina, elder daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Beena Irubakidze Cholokashvili, Prince of Satcholakao. Killed his father and seized the throne, 27th April 1511. Deposed and imprisoned by King Davit VIII of Kartli, 1513. m. H.M. The Most High Queen Eleni, sister of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Garsevan Irubakidze, Prince of Sacholokao, Grand Master of the Court of Kakheti. Seized the throne and k. his father, 27th April 1511. He d. in prison, 1513, having had issue, including one son and one daughter:

The Most Brilliant Prince Bagrati, 1st Prince of Mukhrani. She d. 1528, having had issue - see Georgia (Mukhrani).
1520 - 1574 H.M. The Most High King Levanti I , by the will of our Lord, King of Kings of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah and Master of all the East and West, King of Kahketi. b. 1504, son of H.M. The Most High King Giorgi II Av-Giorgi, King of Kakheti, by his wife, H.M. The Most High Queen Eleni, sister of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Garsevan Irubakidze, Prince of Sacholokao, educ. privately. Succeeded his father as Head of the Royal House of Kakheti, 1513. Evaded capture by King Davit VIII of Kartli and went into hiding in the mountains. Succeeded in establishing his independence and was crowned as King, 1520. m. (first) (div. 1529) H.M. The Most High Queen Tinatina (d. at Telavi, 1591, bur. there at the Shuamtha Convent), daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Mamia I Gurieli, Duke of the Guria. m. (second) 1529, a daughter of Shamkhal Kamal Kara-Musel, Prince of Tarku. He was k. by his son Aleksandri II, 1574, having had issue, ten sons and four daughters:

2) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Jesse ['Isa Khan Gorji] (s/o Queen Tinatina). Embraced Islam while in captivity in Persia. Governor of Sakki 1558-1580. m. 1578, a daughter of H.H. Shahzada 'Abu'l Nasir Sam Mirza, of Persia, sometime Governor-General of Khorasan and Ardabil, by his wife, a daughter of Husain Khan-e Shamlu. He d. 1580, having had issue, two sons and one daughter, including:
a) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Bagrati [Kniaz Pancrati Jesseievitch Gruzinski]. A prisoner of the Persians for twenty years. Living in Russia in 1607.
b) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Kaikhushru. He d. after 1574.
3) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Giorgi (s/o Shamkhal's daughter). He was k. in battle with Shah Verdi Sultan, 1561.
4) His Beatitude Nikolaoz V. b. before 1529 (s/o Queen Tinatina), Patriarch-Catholicos of Georgia from 28th February 1584-1591. He d. 1591.
5) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Taimurazi (s/o Shamkhal's daughter). He d. before 1575.

2) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Nestan-Darejan (d/o Shamkhal's daughter). m. 1559, H.M. The Most High King Svimeon I [Shah Nawaz Mahmud Khan], King of Kartli (b. ca. 1538; d. in the Seven Towers, Constantinople, 1612, bur. Mtzkheta), eldest son of H.M. Luarsabi I, King of Kartli, by his wife, H.M. Queen Thamar, daughter of H.M. Bagrat III, King of Imereti. She had issue, at least one son - see Georgia (Kartli).
3) A daughter (d/o Shamkhal's daughter). She bacame a nun at Alaverdi after 1602. m. Prince (Baram?) Irubakidze-Cholokashvili, younger son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Garsevan Irubakidze-Cholokashvili, Prince of Sacholakao, Grand Master of the Household of Kakheti. She had issue, at least one son.
4) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Kethavan (d/o Shamkhal's daughter). m. 1559, The Noble Iosaphath Gogibashvili.
1574 - 1603 H.M. The Most High King Aleksandri II, by the will of our Lord, King of Kings of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah and Master of all the East and West, King of Kakheti. b. 1527, eldest son of H.M. The Most High King Levanti I, King of Kahketi, by his first wife, H.M. The Most High Queen Tinatina, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Mamia I Gurieli, Duke of the Guria, educ. privately. Killed his father and seized the throne, 1574. Dispached the first embassy to Tsar Theodore and entered into the first treaty of alliance with Russia in 1586. He avoided conflict with his neighbours and accepted Persian suzerainty, did much to restore the finest works of art and architecture, and endowed monasteries in Jerusalem and Mount Athos. He also controlled his feudal barons and government officials, limited their powers and supervised them closely, lest they oppress the peasantry. Dethroned in favour of his second son, November 1603 - February 1604. m. H.M. The Most High Queen Tinatina, daughter of General His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Bardzim-Koiar Zedginidze, Prince of Samilakhoro, Amir-Akhori, and Governor of Gori, by his wife, Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Thamar, daughter of Prince Diasmidze. He was k. by his son, Konstantini I, at Zaghani, 12th March 1605 (bur. Alaverdi Monastery), having had issue, four sons and one daughter:
1) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Irakli. Accompanied his father to Russia in 1586-1587. m. a Cherkesse princess of the Khatov [Khotide] family. He d. late 1589, having had issue, one son:
