GENEALOGY

1512 - 1539 H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Bagrat I, 1st Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni). b. before 1488, sixth son of H.M. Konstantini II, King of Georgia, by his wife, H.M. Queen Thamar. Granted the title of Mukhrani-batoni by his brother, King Davit X in 1512. Took holy orders under the name of Varnava (Barnabas), resigning Mukhrani in favour of his eldest son in 1539. m. H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Eleni. He d. ca. 1540, having had issue, seven sons and three daughters:
1539 - 1580 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Vakhtang I, 2nd Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni). b. ca. 1510, eldest son of H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Bagrat I, 1st Prince of Mukhrani, by his wife, H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Eleni, educ. privately. Succeeded on the resignation of his father, 1539. Regent of Georgia 1569-1579. m. (first) Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Khwaramzi (d. 1528), daughter of H.M. The Most High King Giorgi II, King of Kakheti. m. (second) a daughter of H.M. The Most High King Levanti, King of Kahketi. He d. 1st October 1580, having had issue, three sons and two daughters:
1580 - 1624 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Bagrat II, 3rd Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni). b. 16th July 1572, eldest son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Vakhtang I, 2nd Prince of Mukhrani, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, assuming the reign name Bagrat II, 1st October 1580. Regent of Georgia 1623-1624. m. Her Splendour the Pious Princess of High Rank Ana, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Nukzar Sidamoni, Duke of Aragvi. He was k. in battle at Mérabdé, 1624, having had issue, six sons and two daughters:
 
1624 - 1627 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Kaikhushru [Khuzdru], 4th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni).b. 1582, second son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Vakhtang I, 2nd Prince of Mukhrani , educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his elder brother, 1624. Regent of Georgia 1624-1625. m. Her Splendour the Pious Princess of High Rank Tinatina (d. 1627), youngest daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Mamia II Gurieli, Duke of the Guria. He d. in Turkey, 1627 (or 3.10.1629?-Dumin), having had issue, five sons:
 
1627 - 1648 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Davit, 5th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), third son of H.M. Taimuraz I [Taimurazi Khan], King of Kartli and Kakheti, by his second wife, H.M. Queen Khwarashan, daughter of H.M. Giorgi X, King of Kartli - see Georgia (Kakheti).
 
1648 - 1659 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Vakhtang II, 6th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), who succeeded as H.M. Vakhtang V [Shah Nawaz Khan II], King of Kartli - see Georgia (Kartli).
 
1659 - 1667 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Konstantini I, 7th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni). b. ca. 1618, second son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Bagrat II, 3rd Prince of Mukhrani, by his wife, Her Splendour the Pious Princess of High Rank Ana, educ. privately. Received  Mukhrani in fief from his elder brother, King Vakhtang V [Shah Nawaz Khan II], of Kartli, 1659. m. Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Darejan [Daria] (d. 1657, bur. Mtzkheta), daughter of Prince Ghuanna Abashidze, who became a nun under the name of Domna, during her widowhood. He d. 1667 (bur. Mtzkheta), having had issue, six sons and two daughters:
 
1667 - 1688 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Taimuraz II, 8th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), eldest son of General His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Konstantini I, 7th Prince of Mukhrani. Succeeded on the death of his father 1667. Confirmed in the title of Mukhrani-batoni, for himself and his male descendants. Grand Master of the Household. m. a daughter of The Most Excellent Prince Giorgi Saakadze, Tarkhan-Muravi, of Tiflis, Kartskinvale and Dvaleti, by his wife, Princess Nino, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Bahadur Sidamoni, Duke of Aragvi. He d. 1688, having had issue, four (or five) sons:
 
1688 - 1691 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Ashotani II, 9th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), third son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Konstantini I, 7th Prince of Mukhrani. Seized the principality after the death of his elder brother, 1688. He d. 1691.
 
1691 - 1710 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Papuna, 10th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), fourth son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Konstantini I, 7th Prince of Mukhrani. Deposed 1710. Grand Master of the Household 1714. m. Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Thaba (d. 1704, bur. Mtzkheta), daughter of Prince Levanti Abashidze, by his wife, Princess Tinatina, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Zaal Sidamoni, Duke of Aragvi. He d. 1714 (bur. Mtzkheta), having had issue, one son and one daughter:
 
1710  His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Konstantini II, 11th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), second son of HHis Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Taimuraz II, 8th Prince of Mukhrani. Succeeded on the deposition of his uncle, 1710, but deposed soon afterwards. Grand Master of the Household. m. Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Nino, daughter of Prince Davit Amilakhvari. He d. 1716, having had issue, an only son:
 
1710 - 1716 His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Irakli, 12th Prince of Mukhrani (Mukhrani-batoni), fifth son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Konstantini I, 7th Prince of Mukhrani. Seized the principality after the death of his elder brother, and expelled his young nephew. Recognised and formally installed by the King as 12th Mukhrani-batoni, 1710. Deposed by Royal decree, in favour of his nephew, 1716. He d. 3rd January 1723, having had issue, two sons:
