1408 - 1420 Rana Shri Satarsalji Ranmalsinhji Sahib, Rana of Patdi, eldest son of Rana Shri Ranmalsinhji [Ranmalsangji], Rana of Patdi, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1408.  He rebelled against Sultan Ahmad Shah three times, and was reduced on each occasion, most severely by Latif Khan 1416. Nevertheless, he never yielded to Muslim rule and battled against them until his death. He d. at Patdi, 1420, having had issue, twelve sons, including:

1420 - 1441 Rana Shri Jetsinhji Satarsalji Sahib, Rana of Kuwa, eldest son of Rana Shri Satarsalji Ranmalsinhji Sahib, Rana of Patdi, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1420. Contined warring against the Sultans of Gujarat, he was forced to abandon Patdi and found a new capital and safer refuge at Kuwa. He d. at Kuwa, 1441, having had issue, four sons:

1469 - 1487 Rana Shri Waghoji Bhimdevsinhji Sahib, Rana of Kuwa, only son of Rana Shri Bhimsinhji Wanwirji Sahib, Rana of Patdi, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1469. Rebelled againt the Sultan of Gujarat, who then sent Khalil Khan against him, but succeeded in defeating that prince. The Sultan then took the field to chastise Waghoji himself, arrived at Kuwa and laid seige to the fort. When supplies were about to run out in the town, Waghoji ordered fires to be lit and told his wives to prepare for sati, then sallied forth to do battle against the enemy. During the conflict his standard bearer tired of carrying his burden and temporarily put down his ensign. This act prompted the poor Ranis to imagine the death of their lord, and each of them dutifully mounted the pyre. Waghoji returned to the fort to find them all dead. Disconsulate, he vowed to die fighting in battle and rode out again into the thick of the enemy. He killed many in close combat, until eventually he succumbd to their swords. The Sultan's forcees invaded the fort, ransacked and destroyed Kuwa. He was k. in battle at Kuwa, 1487, having had issue, twelve sons, including:
