1790 - 1792 H.M. Sultan Mulay al-Yazid bin Muhammad, Sultan of Morocco, etc. b. 1748, second son of H.M. Sultan Al-'Alawi Sidi Muhammad II bin 'Abdu'llah, Sultan of Morocco, by his second wife, Lalla Sargetta, an English or Irish lady, educ. privately. Rebelled against his father in 1769, 1771 and 1775 but was pardoned each time. Proclaimed on his death, 11th April 1790. A cruel and ruthless ruler who caused a fruitless war with Spain and persecuted his brother's followers without mercy. He was k. in battle with his half-brother Mulay Hisham, at Marrakesh, 23rd February 1792 (bur. there within the Prayer Hall of the Alawi Mausoleum, Saadien Tombs), having had issue, two sons:

1790 - 1797 H.M. Sultan Mulay Hisham bin Muhammad, Sultan of Morocco, etc., fifth son of H.M. Sultan Al-'Alawi Sidi Muhammad II bin 'Abdu'llah, Sultan of Morocco, by his first wife, Lalla Fatima, daughter of his uncle, Mulay Sulaiman bin Ismail as-Samin. Proclaimed in rebellion to his unpopular elder half-brother, Yazd, 10th December 1790. Defeated and killed him in battle, at Marrakesh, 23rd February 1792. A devout and honest ruler who lost interest in statecraft and abdicated in favour of his younger brother, January 1795. Proclaimed for a second time, October 1795 and abdicated again, 29th November 1797. He d. from desease, at Meknes, 11th August 1799 (bur. at the Alawi Mausoleum, Saadien Tombs, Marrakesh), having had issue, four sons:

1797 - 1822 H.M. Sultan Abu ar-Rabi Mulay Sulaiman [Slimane] bin Muhammad, Sultan of Morocco, etc. b. at Sijilmasa (Rissani), Tafilalt, 1766, ninth son of H.M. Sultan Al-'Alawi Sidi Muhammad II bin 'Abdu'llah, Sultan of Morocco, by a lady of the Ahlaf tribe, educ. privately. Proclaimed as Sultan at the Mausoleum of Mulay Idris, Fez, following the death of his elder half-brother, Mulay al-Yazid, 11th March 1792. Succeeded as undisputed Sultan of Morocco after the final-abdication of his brother, Mulay Hisham, 29th November 1797. He lost conrol over vast swathes of territory by incurring the opposition of the tribes, including the Sanhaja, the Zianata and the Zammour, who coalesced against him and harassed his lieutenants. Defeated by the Zawyia of Shrardas in 1822. He d. at the Dar al-Makhzin, Marrakesh, 28th November 1822 (bur. there at the Alawi Mausoleum, Saadien Tombs), having had issue, eleven sons and several daughters, including:
