Maharajadhiraj Mirza Maharao Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Khengarji III Sawai Bahadur, Maharao of Cutch, GCSI (3.6.1917), GCIE (30.6.1887). b. at Prag Mahal, Bhuj 23rd August 1866, eldest son of H.H. Maharajadhiraj Mirza Maharao Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Pragmulji II Sahib Bahadur, Rao of Cutch, GCSI, by his second wife, H.H. Jhaliji Akhand Soubhagyavati Baiji Shri Nanibakunverba Sahib, educ. Rajkumar Coll, Rajkot. Succeeded on the death of his father, 19th December 1875 and ascended the gadi 3rd January 1876. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age, 11th August 1884 and was invested with full ruling powers, at Darbargadh, Bhuj 14th November 1884. Raised to the hereditary titles of Sawai Bahadur on 2nd March 1885 and Maharao on 1st January 1918. Granted a local salute of 19-guns, 1st January 1921. Attended the Delhi Durbars of 1877, 1903 and 1911. Represented India at the League of Nations in Geneva 1921, and the Imperial Conference in London 1921. Hon Col Cutch State Infantry 1929-1942.
