1846 - 1892 Meherban Shrimant Amritrao II Ramrao Sahib Dafle [Bawaji Sahib], Desmukh, Chief of Jath b. at Umrani, 1835, as Shrimant Bhimrao Dafle [Bawaji Sahib], son of Shrimant Bhagwantrao Dafle, of Daflepur, educ. privately. Adopted by the dowager Rani Bhagirathibai and renamed Amritrao Ramrao Sahib Dafle, 28^th July 1841. Succeeded on her death, 29^th July 1846. Reigned under an administrator until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 1855. Granted a sanad of adoption, 11^th March 1862. His administrative powers were suspended for maladministration in 1874. The state was attached to the Bombay Presidency for supervisory purposes and a state Karbhari appointed to conduct the administration until 1885. Restored in 1885, but again reverted to his old ways, and removed from the administration for a final time in 1889. m. (first), Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Lakshmibai Raje Sahib Dafle (b. 1843; d.s.p. at Jath, 28^th March 1897), Regent of Jath from 11^th January 1892 until her death. m. (second) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Anandibai Raje Dafle [Mai Sahib] (d. at the Old Palace, Jath, 2^nd March 1931). He d.s.p.m. from dropsy at Poona, 11^th January 1892 (succ. by his adopted son), having had issue, an only daughter:

1) Shrimant Yeshodabai Raje Dafle [Akka Sahib] [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Shri Tarabai Raje Bhonsle]. b. at Jath, ca. 1875 (d/o Anandibai). m. at the Jalmandir Palace, Satara, 28^th May 1889, Shrimant Chhatrapati Pratapsinhji II Rajaram Maharaj Bhonsle [Bhau Sahib], Sardar of Satara (b. 25^th May 1872; d.s.p. at the Jalmandir Palace, Satara, 5^th March 1925), younger son of Shrimant Rajaram III Chhatrapati Maharaj Bhonsle [Abba Sahib], Sardar of Satara. She d.s.p. at the Jalmandir Palace, Satara, 4^th September 1940, having adopted one son - see India Pensioners (Satara).

1892 - 1928 Meherban Shrimant Ramrao II Amritrao [Aba Sahib] Dafle, Desmukh of Jath. b. at Umraun, 11^th January 1886, as Bowanjirao Parashuramrao Dafle, fourth son of Shrimant Sardar Parashuramrao Madhavrao Dafle, of Umraun, educ. Rajaram Coll., Kolhapur and Rajkumar Coll., Rajkot. Adopted by his maternal great aunt, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Lakshmibai Raje Sahib Dafle, widow of Shrimant Amritrao Ramrao Sahib Dafle, Desmukh of Jath, 1892. Installed on the gadi, at the City Palace, Jath, 13^th January 1893. Reigned under the Regency of his adopted mother until her death on 28^th March 1897, and then under a Council of Regency appointed by the GOI. He came of age and was formally invested with full ruling powers at Ramdas Palace, Jath, 11^th January 1907. Resumed Daflepur on the death of Rani Lakshmibai in 1917. A modern and benevolent ruler who established several primary and secondary schools, introduced local self-government, free medical services, banking facilities for farmers, constructed several irrigation tanks and public buildings. He also rendered useful services to the Crown during the Great War and established a Jath Company of the Mahratta Light Infantry, within the territorial army scheme. Mbr Deccan Education Soc, Willingdon Sports Club (Bombay), etc. m. at the Rajwada, Akalkot, 18^th May 1902, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Bhagirathibai Raje Sahib Dafle (b. at the Rajwada, Akalkot, 16^th November 1889), Regent for her son 1928-1929, née Shrimant Putalabai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, second daughter of Meherban Shrimant Shahaji III Raje Bhonsle [Baba Sahib], Raja of Akalkot, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Lakshmibai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, daughter of Shrimant Sardar Narayanrao Dhaibar Killedar, by his wife, the second daughter of H.H. Shrimant Maharaja Sir Khanderao II Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, GCSI. He d. at Ramdas Palace, Jath, 14^th August 1928, having had issue, four sons and three daughters:

1) Shrimant Pratapsinhrao Ramrao Dafle [Bala Sahib]. b. at Jath, 28^th February 1908, but d. of malarial fever, 18^th September 1910.
2) The Hon Raja Shrimant Vijaysinhrao Ramrao Raje Dafle [Baba Sahib], Raja of Jath - see below.
3) Shrimant Rajkumar Ajitsinh Ramrao Dafle, MBE (c 8.1.1944). b. at Jath, 15^th January 1912, educ. Jath High Sch, Rajaram Coll., Kolhapur, and Univ. of London (BA), and Middle Temple, London. Barr-at-Law. MEC Jath, Police, Education and General Minister 1940-1945, Guardian and Comptroller of the Household to the minor Maharaja of Kolhapur 1945-1947. Rcvd: Silver Jubilee (1935) and Coron. (1937) medals. He had issue, two sons:
- a) Shrimant Shri Ramrao Ajitsinh Dafle, educ. Rajkumar Coll., Rajkot.
- b) Shrimant Shri Anilraje Ajitsinh Dafle, educ. Cathedral and John Connon Sch ., Bombay. m. the daughter of Shrimant Yeshwantrao Pirajirao Ghatge [Appa Sahib], of Kagal Senior.
4) Shrimant Rajkumar Udaysinhrao Ramrao Dafle [Bhaiya Sahib]. b. at Jath, 6^th March 1920, educ. Shri Ramrao Vidya Mandir, Jath, and Rajaram Coll., Kolhapur. Cmsnd into the RINVR as Sub-Lieut. 1/12/1942, served in WW2, resig. 1945. Hon MSC Jath 1945-1948, Police and Education Minister 1945 - 1947, Army & Political Minister 1947-1948. Rcvd: Coron. Maharaja Shrimant Sir Shahaji II Bhonsle Chhatrapi Bahadur, Maharaja of Kolhapur, GCSI (b. at Kolhapur, 4^th April 1910; d. 9^th May 1983), eldest son of H.H. Kshatriya Kulavatana Sapta Sahasra Senapati Pratinidri, Meherban Shrimant Maharaja Tukojirao III Puar, Maharaja of Dewas (Senior), KCSI, by his first wife, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Radhabai Maharaj Sahib Puar, eldest daughter of Colonel H.H. Maharaja Shrimant Sir Shahu Chhatrapati Bahadur, Maharaja of Kolhapur, GCSI, GCIE, GCVO. 2) Shrimant Rajkumari Indira Raje Sahib Dafle. b. at Mahableshwar, 7^th May 1913, and d. at Shahapur, Belgaum Dist. 23^rd May 1914.
3) Shrimant Rajkumari Kamala Raje Sahib Dafle [H.H. Sakal Soubhagyavati Sampanna Shrimant Rani Priyamwada Raje Sahiba, Rani of Jawahar]. b. at Jath, 30^th August 1915. m. at Jath, 8^th May 1938, H.H. Maharaja Shrimant Patangshah V Mukne, Godharma Pratipalak, Raja of Jawahar (b. at Jawhar, 11^th December 1917; d. 4^th June 1978), younger son of Meherban Shrimant Raja Vikramshah V Mukne, Godharma Pratipalak, Raja of Jawahar, by his wife, Sakal Soubhagyavati Sampanna Shrimant Rani Sagunabai Raje Sahiba, a lady from the Nadge family of Washale, in the Thana dist. She had issue, one son and two daughters - see India (Jawahar).

1928 - 1998 Lieutenant-Commander The Hon Raja Shrimant Vijaysinhrao Ramrao Raje Sahib Dafle, Raja of Jath. b. at the City Palace, Jath, 21^st July 1909, eldest son of Meherban Shrimant Ramrao II Amritrao Dafle [Aba Sahib], Desmukh of Jath, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Bhagirathibai Raje Sahib Dafle, educ. Jath High Sch., and Deccan Coll., Poona. Succeeded on the death of his father, 14^th August 1928. Installed on the gadi at the City Palace, Jath, 30^th September 1928. Reigned under a Council of Regency headeed by his mother, until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, at the City Palace, Jath, 12^th January 1929. Mbr Third Indian Round Table Conference in London 1932. Cmsnd as Hon Sub-Lieut RIN 27/6/1934, prom Hon Lieut 27/6/1937, served in WW2 1940-1944, prom Hon Lieut-Cdr 27/6/1945. Granted the hereditary title of Raja 23^rd June 1936. Introduced full responsible government within his state in 1946. Signed the instrument of accession to the Dominion of India, August 1947. Merged his state into Bombay 8^th March 1948. MLA Bombay, 1952-1962, MP (Lok Sabha) for Miraj, 1962-1967. The GOI amended the Indian Constitution to remove his position as a "ruler" and his right to receive privy-purse payments, 28^th December 1971. A famous cricketer who competed in the Ranji Trophy tournaments several times. Presdt All-India Mahratta Educational Conference at Mahad. (second) at Alandi, 17^th February 1941, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Sulochana Raje Sahib Dafle (d. at Bombay, 13^th April 1944), daughter of Shrimant Sakhoji Raje Mahadik [Ana Sahib], Inamdar of Tarle. m. (third) at Bombay, 12^th July 1949, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Usha Raje Sahib Dafle (b. 14^thMarch 1923; d. 1986), née Shrimant Maharajkumari Usha Raje Gaekwar, elder daughter of Shrimant Maharajkumar Dhairyasilrao Ga ekwad, of Baroda, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharajkumari Vimala Devi Gaekwad, daughter of Shrimant Sardar Sakroji Raje Mahadik, of Tarale, in the Satara dist. He d. at Jath, 12^th July 1998, having had issue, two daughters by his second wife*:

1) Shrimant Rajkumari … Raje Dafle. b. at Bombay, 26^th May 1942 (d/o Sulochana Raje).
2) Shrimant Rajkumari Sunetra Raje Dafle [Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Sunetra Darekar]. b. at Bombay, 13^th April 1944 (d/o Sulochana Raje). Lives in Temple, Texas, USA. m. (first) 1964 (div. 1974), Rajkumar Shrimant Ranjitsinhrao Yeshwantrao Raje Sahib Ghorpade (b. 16^th February 1933), second son of Major H.H. Shrimant Maharaj Shri Yeshwantrao Venkatarao Sahib Ghorpade, Hindurao, Mamlukatmadar Senapati, Raja of Sandur, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Sushila Devi Maharaj Sahib Ghorpade, Prathinidhi, eldest daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Umdat ul-Mulk, Raj Rajendra Malojirao Narsinhrao Shithole, Desmukh, Rustam Jang Bahadur, of Gwalior - see India Non-salute (Sandur). m. (second) 1977, Shrimant Vijaysinh Darekar.

* A certain Captain Rajindra Sinh Vijay Sinh Dafle, Vr.C. (1971), late 1st Mahratta Light Infantry, IA, served Indo-Pak War of 1971, and may have been an adopted son of the late Raja.
